CEMS Research Seminar and meeting of the Faculty Group (FG) Logistics of the CEMS
The 17th CEMS SCM Research Seminar and CEMS Logistics Faculty Group meeting took place with the participation of the Department of Logistics.
From 22 to 26 January, an annual meeting of Ph.D. students and academics from CEMS schools was held in Riezlern, Austria. Members of these schools focus on supply chain management, logistics, and transport. Altogether 27 representatives from 14 universities attended – besides the University of Economics, academics and Ph.D. students from e.g. Copenhagen Business School, Finnish Aalto University, Rotterdam School of Management – Erasmus University, University of Cologne or Wirtschaftsuniversität Wien. In addition to discussing the presented research of the participants, this professional event serves as a platform for the implementation of joint publishing activities, submission of transnational research projects, teacher and student mobility.
Ing. Petr Kolar, Ph.D. from the Department of Logistics and Mario Guajardo from the Norwegian School of Economics, Bergen are for the period 2019 – 2021 the so-called Conference Chairs, responsible for review management, quality, and composition of the program. The head of CEMS Logistics FC is prof. René de Koster of Erasmus University Rotterdam. The winner of the Best Ph.D. Presentation Award (sponsored by the BAYER event partner), which is voted by the Ph.D. students, was at the 17th annual seminar Christian Rählmann from the University of Cologne.

The next (18th) year event will be held in Riezlern from 20 to 24 January 2021.
