New book published by a member of the Dep. of Logistics regarding international transport documents
The publication Mezinárodní přepravní doklady (International Transport Documents) (published earlier this year by Wolters Kluwer) systematically captures the documents used in the international transport of goods (cargo, consignments) according to individual transport branches (modes). This book only deals with shipping documents. Accompanying documents (eg customs documents, insurance documents, accompanying transport documents, forwarding documents, etc.) are not discussed here. The only exceptions are the so-called House bill of lading and the Neutral Air Waybill – both documents are of fundamental importance in practice (more on the text below). The publication deals not only with the international transport documents themselves, but in the relevant context also deals with related passages of international conventions, EU regulations, and possibly also national legislation, which capture the individual transport documents. In the individual parts of the publication, are not only specific references to the legal framework in which the specific treatise on individual international transport documents occurs, but there are also comments on the specific use of individual documents in practice. This book contains a detailed description of the most important international transport documents, both consignment notes and bills of lading. The annexes then provide examples of international transport documents used in practice. In some cases, there are also examples of these documents, which are specifically filled out.
The publication is available as an e-book.
